Livestream Update
Kadampa Meditation Centers around the world were granted temporary permission to stream classes and events online when the Covid-19 pandemic hit in early 2020. Now, as the world returns to normal and restrictions have been lifted, we have transitioned back to offering in person classes exclusively (no more regular zoom option).
Options for those who cannot attend class in person
However, we do understand that there are some people who are unable to physically make it to the center to attend classes due to various reasons. If you fall under this category, below are the options that available to you.
REQUEST TEACHINGS IN YOUR AREA
If there is no Centre in your area, we would love to bring dharma to you! Please email our Administrative Director at ad@meditation-indianapolis.org, and request that we begin offering classes in your area.
JOIN THE FOUNDATION PROGRAM
Our weekly Foundation Program is offered Sunday afternoons from 4:00 – 6:15pm and is available online. This is open to those who live further than a 2 hour drive of the Center and/or have a disability that prevents you from physically attending class.
It is a structured study program that includes a dynamic mix of study, reflection, discussion, and meditation, and emphasizes the practical application of Buddhist wisdom to daily life to make authentic spiritual progress. Studying in this way allows us to develop a deeper understanding and meditative experience of Buddha’s teachings on attaining happiness and enlightenment. Contact fp@meditation-indianapolis.org to learn more about how to join via correspondence.
STREAM CLASSES FROM THE IKRC GRAND CANYON
The IKRC Grand Canyon has been granted special permission to stream their weekly Sunday morning class, to those in the USA who meet specific criteria. You can learn more and apply to join on the IKRC website.
